Things Your Cat Will Do In 2022

January 3, 2022
Happy New Year! As we leave 2021 behind and roll on into 2022, many of us are focusing on our goals for the coming year. Our feline pals also have a few things planned … and making mischief is at the top of the list. Here, an Ashburn, VA vet lists a few things Fluffy will do this year.

Pounce

Don’t forget that your cute little buddy has the instincts of a predator. Kittens will probably pounce on things several times a day. However, even older, lazier furballs will probably indulge their inner huntresses at least once this year.

Blep

Are you wondering what the word blep means, and where it originated? We can’t shed much light on the backstory, but blepping is the official term for when kitties stick their tongues out and just sit there. This of course can make for some adorable photos…assuming Fluffy continues the blep long enough for you to get your camera.

Talk Back

Cats are very opinionated little furballs. Some will loudly proclaim their thoughts on just about anything, while others only speak up when they have very strong opinions about something … such as being taken on a car ride or being moved mid-nap.

Cattitude

Fluffy can be a bit temperamental. You’ll probably feel your furry buddy’s full kitty wrath at some point this year … even if that actually only entails a half-hearted love bite.

Steal Your Chair

Our feline friends are very opportunistic, especially when it comes to finding spots to nap in. At some point over the next 12 months, you’re going to get up for something, only to find Fluffy in your seat when you return, probably looking very innocent.

Help Change Your Sheets

We may never know why cats are so interested in this rather mundane chore. Then again, there are a lot of things we may never really understand about Fluffy.

Make You Smile

Kitties truly are precious gifts. These adorable, quirky balls of fur have a way of melting our hearts and keeping us amused. Your lovable little comedian will definitely put some smiles on your face in the coming year! All of us here at Lansdowne Animal Hospital, your Ashburn, VA animal hospital, want to wish you a wonderful new year. We look forward to providing your pet with great care in 2022 and beyond!
