Most of our feline friends absolutely despise getting wet. This may be because wet cat fur emits a strong scent that, in the wild, could attract dangerous predators. Or maybe kitties learned to be afraid of swift currents. Whatever the reason, bath time is probably not one of Fluffy’s favorite things to do. (Of course, some kitties out there apparently never got the memo about how cats are supposed to hate water, but they are the exception, rather than the rule.)
Fido may literally jump for joy to find out that there’s a car ride in his future, but Fluffy’s reaction will likely be quite the opposite. Many kitties find car rides very scary, and will spend the entire trip loudly declaring their opinions.
Proper veterinary care is very important to your furball’s health, but Fluffy may not see it that way. All those strange people, smells, and sounds, combined with the presence and scents of other uneasy animals, can make visiting the vet quite scary for pets. (We understand that our furry patients are sometimes frightened, and don’t take it personally.) If Fluffy is scared, don’t let her reaction sway you: we only have her best interests in mind.
Have you ever accidentally dropped something around your cat? Chances are, your furball probably fled the room at full speed. Kitties prefer their domains to be quiet and peaceful. This isn’t really surprising, given that napping is Fluffy’s favorite pastime.
While cats can definitely get along well, it isn’t always love at first sight among our feline pals. In fact, kitties can be very territorial!
Being ignored is another one of kitties’ pet peeves. When Fluffy wants attention, she wants it right meow!
Not Being Ignored
Petting your cat at the wrong time, or petting her the wrong way, will not go over well with Fluffy. Also on the no-no list are too much attention and not enough attention.
